Pregnant women and children participating in the WIC program are screened for their risk of lead exposure. Those at risk receive a blood lead screening by fingerstick, free of charge. Screenings are also available for those not enrolled in WIC. Medicaid, private insurance, or a $20 cash fee is accepted for payment.
