ACEs Toolkit

Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) are traumatic events or periods of sustained stress in a child or adolescent’s life. ACEs stress can lead to health problems and can affect behavior, learning, and mental health… but they don’t have to. Kids feel safe and secure when adults consistently care for them and meet their needs. This security and other positive lifestyle factors can reduce the negative effects of ACEs.
