WIC & the Federal Government shutdown
The Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS) is committed to transparency and to keeping Illinois families informed as the federal shutdown continues. Despite the lack of a federal budget or continuing resolution, Illinois Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) is funded to operate throughout November.
We understand the ongoing shutdown is creating uncertainty for federally funded nutrition programs. Participants should continue to come to WIC appointments, shop and redeem benefits as usual.
