Children's Immunizations

Infant and children’s immunizations are given by appointment. Please call 618-498-9565 x 325 to schedule.

Children ages birth through 18 years qualify for the Vaccines for Children program if they:

  • have Medicaid coverage

  • are American Indian or Alaskan natives

  • do not have health insurance

  • have health insurance that DOES NOT cover vaccinations

VFC fees: $20/ injection.

Children who qualify for the VFC program shall not be denied vaccinations if unable to pay the administration fee or make a donation. The VFC program does accept Medicaid for payment.

Children who have medical insurance that covers vaccinations DO NOT qualify for the Vaccines for Children program.

We have agreements with these insurance carriers to provide vaccinations to their members:

  • Aetna

  • Blue Cross/ Blue Shield

  • Cigna

  • Coventry

If your insurance provider is on this list, you should call the number on your insurance card and verify they will pay for childhood vaccinations at JCHD. You could be billed for the vaccinations if your insurance denies payment to JCHD.

If your insurance carrier is not on the list above, you will be required to pay for your child’s vaccines before they are given. You may seek reimbursement from your insurance carrier.
