Teen Pregnancy Primary Program
The Illinois Department of Human Services provides grant funds to Jersey County Health Department through the Teen Pregnancy Primary Program. The grant funds are used to provide education to teens and parents, to promote youth development in the community and to increase public awareness concerning teen pregnancy in Jersey County.

The Health Department offers brochures and videos to parents and teens about decision making, about abstinence and about the physical changes experienced by girls and boys as they go through puberty. There is also information about sexually transmitted diseases, HIV, and birth control.
