Jersey County Health Department is a state licensed and Medicare certified home health agency. The home health department has been providing services to the citizen's of Jersey County since 1966. Home health is the oldest of the services provided by Jersey County Health Department. JCHD is also licensed as a Home Nursing & Home Services provider effective 9/08 as Illinois required licensure for these programs effective in 2008.

Home health offers patients of all ages the opportunity to recuperate in the comfort of their own homes -often shortening or even avoiding the expense and inconvenience of a hospital stay. Through Jersey County Home Health you may receive nursing care and therapeutic treatments, as ordered by your physician, while remaining at home close to your family and friends.

Services provided in the home include Skilled Nursing, Physical Therapy, Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Home Health Aides, and Homemakers. Sources of funding include Medicare, Medicaid, Private Insurance, Veterans Administration, Private Pay and Division of Rehabilitation Services.

All of Jersey County's Home Health professional staff of nurses and therapists must meet high standards, and are insured, bonded and closely supervised. Today more than ever, people are convalescing at home, and Jersey County Home Health provides this alternative to the homebound.
