EMERGENCY AND DISASTER PREPAREDNESS PLANS
AVAILABLE AT JERSEY COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT
Due to the September 11th terrorist activites, the current situation of the United States and the never-ending possibility of natural disasters, the Jersey County Health Department is offering free copies of a "Family Emergency Preparedness Plan" and "Surviving Disaster: A Citizen's Emergency Handbook" developed by the Illinois Department of Public Health.

These handbooks give information tips, and ideas on what to do before, during, and after a disaster including earthquakes, floods, tornadoes, fires, explosions and terrorist events. The "Family Plan" also gives the opportunity to create your own personal preparedness plan for you and your family.

To order a copy of these handbooks or for questions please contact Jersey County Health Department at
